Monthly pricing depends on transaction volume, sole trader or limited company status, VAT registration, payroll, reporting requirements and tax-return requirements. The independent finance partner assesses these during onboarding and provides the final quotation directly.
We price each package individually — scope genuinely varies, and a single published figure would either overcharge simple projects or undercharge complex ones. You always receive a full written quotation before any commitment, with VAT added where applicable, and travel, third-party subscriptions, printing, advertising spend and unusual integrations itemised rather than hidden. 02How it works
Sonar's role is digital: we help you choose and implement accounting software, set up invoice and quotation templates, connect payment links, build a receipt-capture workflow, and integrate your website and booking systems with your accounts — so numbers flow instead of being retyped.
The finance partner's role is professional: bookkeeping, accounts preparation, tax returns, VAT, payroll and advice, delivered under their own engagement letter, their own onboarding and identity checks, and their own professional responsibility for submissions and deadlines. Until a partner is formally appointed, that side of the service is not yet available.
03The introduction
While the service is pre-launch, an enquiry simply registers your interest: tell us what your business looks like — trading structure, rough transaction volume, whether VAT or payroll applies — and we'll contact you when a finance partner is formally appointed. No engagement is created and nothing is charged.
Once live, the introduction works the same straightforward way: you speak to the independent professional directly, they quote directly, and you decide. There's no obligation to proceed, and no penalty for choosing your own accountant instead — the digital setup work stands on its own.
04Boundaries
We won't give tax guidance, prepare or submit returns, or hold ourselves out as accountants — those are the partner's regulated territory. We don't invent accreditations, and we'll never suggest guaranteed tax savings.
We will make your financial admin dramatically less manual, ensure the systems talk to each other, and hand your team a process they understand. We will never ask for bank passwords — connections use each platform's own secure authorisation.
05Common questions
We're in the process of appointing an independent finance partner, and we won't launch until that appointment is formalised. Registering your interest now costs nothing and commits you to nothing — we'll contact you when the service opens, and the Finance Digital Setup work (software, templates, integrations) can be scoped in the meantime because Sonar delivers that side directly.
No. Sonar Development is a website and digital-systems studio. Bookkeeping, accounts and tax services will be delivered by independent finance professionals under a separate engagement with you. Our part is the introduction and the digital setup — software, templates, integrations and training.
The independent finance partner, under their own agreement with you. They conduct their own onboarding and identity checks, agree scope in their own engagement letter, and carry professional responsibility for the advice and submissions they provide. Sonar is not a party to that engagement.
By the independent finance partner, directly — it isn't a price Sonar sets or controls. The quotation depends on transaction volume, sole trader or limited company structure, VAT registration, payroll and reporting needs, and the partner confirms it in writing during their own onboarding. Simple, low-transaction businesses sit at the affordable end of the scale; complexity moves it up.
Absolutely. Finance Digital Setup works just as well alongside an accountant you already trust — we'll set up the software, templates and integrations and hand over cleanly to them. The introduction is an option, not a condition.
No referral fee currently applies to finance-partner introductions. If a referral arrangement is ever put in place, we will disclose it clearly on this page and before any introduction is made — it would never change the price you pay.
