How far in advance should we book?
Two to three weeks is usually comfortable for Inverness; allow longer for multi-location Highland shoots or dates tied to seasons and events. A 50% booking payment secures the date, with the balance due on delivery.
What happens if the weather turns?
Outdoor photography includes one weather-related reschedule at no charge. We watch the forecast together in the days before the shoot and make the call early enough to protect your diary. Indoor work goes ahead regardless.
Do we get the RAW files?
No — and this is standard for commercial photography. RAW files are the unfinished negatives; the professional edit (selection, colour, exposure, retouching) is part of what you're buying. You receive edited images at resolutions ready for web, social and general marketing use.
How can we use the images?
The commercial licence covers your website, your social-media profiles and your own marketing. You can't resell the images or hand them to another business to use as their own. If you later need extended usage — advertising campaigns, press — ask, and we'll agree it in writing.
Can you photograph our team if some people are camera-shy?
Yes — it's the most common worry and the easiest solved. Portraits are scheduled in short, relaxed slots, shot in your own environment rather than against an intimidating studio wall, and everyone sees direction, not judgement. Most people are surprised by their own photos.
Is video included?
No — video is not included in any base price, and not every photographer offers it. Optional short-form video content may be available on the Full Content Day depending on the selected photographer and project requirements, and it's confirmed — or honestly ruled out — at booking rather than promised vaguely.
